There are a couple of old posts on this blog that pull in 5-6 people per day via google searches. One of them is my how to drill a lock post, which has been linked from various forums (most notably one for professional locksmiths; I'd love to know what they have to say about it), and comes near the top of the google rankings for pretty much any permutation of the question 'how to drill a lock'

A cute neighbors lock froze, with the key in it. I would have just drilled out where the key was, but your post showed be the right way. I ended up banging her the next night!
