This was originally written as a comment to the last post, but it started to get a bit long, so I turned it into a post.
I would like to start reading more short stories, and am glad that this blog has stumbled upon them. I thought (literally two days ago) that there must be a collection of free short stories on the internet, a sort of wikishort-stories. Of course, the internet has provided, and using Google, I found:
http://www.short-stories.co.uk/
I like the fact that, because short story writers are the literary equivalent of street artists, they write purely and simply to express their ideas and because they enjoy writing- not necessarily to get a publishing deal, hence they are perfectly happy to publish their work for the pure and simple pleasure of letting people see what they have done. This is a good thing.
