Having recently read this post by Lady Detox I decided that doing one day worth of photojournal sounded fun.
At about 8:40 I leave the house. Here is the view from my front door. Depressing, isn't it!

Down the stairs...

And outside. I like this city. It is very picturesque.

The weather does look very threatening. On my walk to work every morning I go through this tunnel:

The tunnel is always filling up with grafitti, then every month or so the council come and whitewash the walls. They quickly fill up again with childish scribbles. Here is another view of my walk to work:

I like the old medieval roofing on some of those buildings. I forgot to take any more pictures on my journey so next we arrive into my office, I sit at the far left desk.

This part of the day doesn't make for a very good photojournal because I'm just going to be sat here all day, staring at the computer. View from the desk:

Same again, it is now my lunchbreak, I don't usually leave the desk for lunch, but I do usually relax and have a chat with my officemates for a bit. Today I seem to have the office all to myself so am doing a bit of blogging:

The view from the window.

That weird hanging piece of metal above the pond is art. It has a really pretentious name like "manifold"* and when it is sunny it reflects really bright reflections into our office. Very annoying.
Normally I work quite late but today is Friday so at 5:30 sharp I run out of the office...

...and into the pub for a quiet drink with my friends.

We end up staying out quite late because there is a new club opening up, its gaudy advertisement certainly looks very cheesy:

Inside does not disappoint, there are poorly made fake chandeliers and a really bad 50s art deco theme

...and then I head back home.

Photoblogging is fun, I would recommend that everybody who reads this goes and does a one day journal. It actually forces you to pay attention to your surroundings.
* I just found a gallery of the artist's work. Turns out the sculpture is called Journey, see here
