After two years of work, two of our theorists/bloggers got papers submitted on exactly the same day:
Rob: Baryon fractions in Lambda-CDM haloes
Me: Molecular cloud regulated star formation in galaxies
I'm really glad the 'race' between myself and Rob to get these papers finished ended with us both submitting on exactly the same day. Good work Mr. Rob :)
Pretty picture time, as submitted to MNRAS:

The locations of active star formation (pink blobs) in a simulated galaxy, the brown haze represents the locations of molecular gas

The face on atomic gas density of a simulated galaxy. Colours chosen for easy comparison to the results of Levine et al (2006)
I think I speak for both of us when I say "Christ I'm glad that's over with."
