One of the main complaints I get about the blog is that it is so unfocused, typically on the frontpage there are no two posts on the same topic (not true at the moment due to "One Life is not Enough!"). I have recieved a number of emails now suggesting that I drop one feature or another because they don't like it.
For this reason I am in the process of registering a brand spanking new domain name, where I'm going to start storing some of the longer series of posts that don't really fit with the rest of the blog (Photorecipes, One Life is Not Enough) as well as giving some of the more popular articles (Hobowine, Hero's Fountain) a permanant home. I don't want to reveal the name of the site until it is actually registered in case some squatter happens over this post and gets there first. Since I already have my own hosting for images, adding an extra domain will cost about £5 for a full year. Money well spent on the only thing that is keeping me sane during writing up!
The new site is going to be pretty skeletal until I have enough spare time to give it a coherent design (next year at the earliest I fear). Still it should leave the blog open for myself, Anon, Jim (if he ever gets himself registered), + any other volunteers* free to talk about how exciting and amazing the world is!
*If you know me and want to help out writing on a blog with a pre-built audience just drop me a line. I'd seriously like to turn it into a proper collabarative effort. Don't worry if you can't post often, every little helps
