I like street art. When I say street art I don't mean the vulgar display people usually associate with grafitti, but rather the more subtle, little things that when you notice them put a smile on your face. Here are a few examples, all taken from streetsy.com

A bit of digging around on the internet has also turned up some really interesting stuff, like little people left to fend for themselves in London; Window Zoos; Waterfall grafitti; Incredible abandoned building art and space invaders made from Rubik's cubes. I think it makes the world a nicer place just to know that these things are out there.
I remember when I first moved up north, somebody had pasted a fluorescent orange piece of A4 paper to one of those phone routing boxes (at the junction between claypath and providence row), it contained nothing but a quote:
It lasted a few years before finally being destroyed by the elements. I'd like to know how many people got a little smile just from walking past that piece of paper on the way to work.
I certainly did.

Life is like a grapefruit. It's orange and squishy, and has a few pips in it, and some folks have half a one for breakfast. --Douglas Adams
